Daniel Gryba is a criminal defence lawyer with MD Law Group in Edmonton, Alberta. Daniel defends clients from all manner of criminal charges including drug, violence, weapon, and motor vehicle related offences. Prior to starting with MD Law Group Daniel practiced civil litigation in Calgary, Alberta, where he advocated for a variety of clients in employment and oil and gas matters. Daniel was first exposed to criminal defence as a student-at-law in Lethbridge, Alberta where he managed dozens of client files from beginning to end. Throughout Daniel’s career he has appeared in both Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench on criminal and civil matters, and has gained significant advocacy experience in the process.
Before being called as a member of the Law Society of Alberta Daniel attended the University of Saskatchewan, earning a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in history with great distinction. Thereafter, Daniel earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. During his education Daniel was awarded the Lightbody Scholarship for achieving the 2nd highest average in the Department of History during his 3rd year, and also received the MacIsaac, Sinclair, McNeil First Year Moot Court Prize during law school.
